Vestel cuts power usage in typical 500-nits display by 80%

Vestel’s new Eco Display technology, which was unveiled at ISE, reduces power usage by 80 to 100 watts, depending on screen size, and will feature in UHD displays being launched this year.

Vestel Visual Solutions highlighted its commitment to sustainability by unveiling its Eco Display technology at ISE.

The technology, which will feature across several UHD displays being launching in the UK this year, is said to reduce the power used by a 500-nit commercial display by up to 80%.

Vestel also unveiled a series of interactive screens designed for the edtech sector. Featuring a Google EDLA-approved Android 13 SoC core, the displays' zero-bonded screen construction improves touchscreen accuracy, while reducing power consumption.

The brand showcased displays up to 98" in landscape and portrait orientation, a Dolby Atmos cinema set-up with a large-screen UHD LED video wall, and interactive retail display solutions featuring partner Octopus’s augmented reality real-time product information.

As well as highlighting its collaboration with Octopus, Vestel used ISE as a platform for promoting its partnerships with specialists in display content management including Embed, Telelogos and PLAYipp.

Low-haze screens will be added to Vestel's display portfolio this year, alongside new hospitality displays and hotel-specific models.
